Choosing our soap name

The name 'The Mancuinan Way' wasn't a easy name to come up, it took a while before the final name was chosen.

As we were creating a parody of Made in Chelsea, the initial name we choose was Made in Manchester. This was a simple choose to make as our soap was being filmed in Manchester and not Chelsea. It wasn't long into filming that our group divided and the choose of soap name turned into a more difficult position. Had of our group liked Made in Manchester, but the other half decided it was too stereotypical and breaching the copy write laws.

For this reason we had to come up with a new name for our soap. Mancuinan was chosen by us talking about accents one day as the Manchester accent is referred to as Mancunian, from this reason we though that could work well. But our soap couldn't just be called Mancunian as it didn't make sense or have a ring to it, it was then that The Mancunian Way was chosen.
