Here I have shown two versions of a poster I have done to promote my Hollyoaks trailer.
- The first poster (below) shows a medium, long shot of Jacqui running into a room and the quote says 'It's Mercy' she's in danger!' This suggests that Jacqui is running to save her and makes the audience want to watch it as they wonder if she will be saved. The '4' sticker and 'Hollyoaks' logo are present on the poster for brand loyalty and reach. The audience will instantly relate to these and understand that this is the soap being promoted.
- The second poster (below) shows a shot present in my Hollyoaks trailer, of Mercedes and Jacqui. The image shows Jacqui stood behind Mercedes looking concerned for her, Mercedes looks scared. The quote on the poster links to the image - 'Who can save you?' This will make the audience want to know more. Asking a question means the audience will want to know the answer and will ask themselves several questions - who needs saving, why etc. The '4' sticker and 'Hollyoaks' logo are present on the poster for brand loyalty and reach. The audience will instantly relate to these and understand that this is the soap being promoted.
